With over half of IT leaders facing a data breach within the past year, demand for Assured’s robust defense solutions has surged. Brian Dutton, director of US Sales and Client Services at Assured Data Protection, connected with us to explain how the company ensures business continuity and resilience in the face of cyberattacks. Q: What is your company’s mission?

A: Assured Data Protection is a global data backup and disaster recovery managed service provider. We are available round the clock, every day of the year, to assist customers in safeguarding, identifying, and restoring essential data and operations with as little delay as possible. We provide solutions powered by Rubrik’s Security Cloud to guarantee resilience against cyberattacks, natural disasters, and data loss.

Q: What are the best market stats that demonstrate the demand for your product?

A: According to Rubrik’s recent report, which surveyed over 1,600 IT and security leaders, 52 percent experienced a data breach in the past year. In contrast, 51 percent had to deal with a ransomware attack during the same period. There is a significant need for secure and unchangeable backups and cyber recovery solutions.

Q: What does your company do best? What is your superpower?

A: Our superpower is our technical expertise. Our leadership team alone has 200-plus years of industry experience. We’re powered by Rubrik, which means our backups are fully immutable. This, combined with our managed backup, DR & M365 solutions, means we can guarantee our customers are 100 percent cyber resilient. In the event of a disaster or cyberattack, our customers are confident they can recover with minimum effort and downtime for the business.

I love sharing some of our recent award recognition, including:

Q: What business challenges does your company solve for users?

A: Cyber resiliency is the most crucial challenge any IT or security leader can face. IT teams we speak to have to do more with less consistency. This means having backup and DR as a managed service is often the most cost-effective way of collecting data and can save critical business time. It also enables the IT team to add a strategic element to their response plan, knowing that their business is 100 percent cyber resilient, should they face a disaster or cyberattack.

Our customers have reported significant benefits from using Rubrik as a managed service from us. On average, they have achieved 50 percent faster backups and a 95 percent reduction in IT spending on backup and DR, which frees up the IT team for other critical tasks. Additionally, there has been an 80 percent reduction in data center footprint.

Q: Who is your ideal customer? Type of business/organization?

A: Our ideal customers are organizations that possess business-critical data. We provide global backup solutions for over 120PB of data across various industries and businesses.

Q: Who is the best “persona” to target at these companies, the key decision maker, and why do they need your solution?

A: Our target audience includes individuals who hold decision-making power in IT or security departments and are responsible for safeguarding business-critical data. We aim to communicate with professionals in various job positions such as Infrastructure Architect, Solutions Architect, Head of Infrastructure, Cloud Architect, Data Manager, Security Officer, IT Manager, IT Director, Head of IT, Compliance Officer, CIO, CISCO, CTO, Backup Architect, and Backup Manager.

Q: What industry/vertical represents the hottest opportunity for a sale at the moment and why?

A: We collaborate with clients worldwide across various industries. Any enterprise that relies on vital information must have a cybersecurity strategy that includes backup and disaster recovery. This is where we can assist. But to be specific, here are three examples of our customers from various industries:
