Solution Insider: ChromeOS Edition

Cloud-first for devices, remote management and a productive agent experience

Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our mission is to explain how you can best monetize that.

We caught up with Jimmy Riordan, strategic partnerships manager, ChromeOS, to find out what makes their solution unique and what industries are ripe with immediate sales opportunities.

Q: Who is your ideal customer?

A: ChromeOS is a great fit for organizations with a contact center and/or remote workers using Unified Communication (“UC”) collaboration tools.

Q: Why do they need your solution?

A: 45 percent of contact centers are set to adopt remote, work-from-anywhere experiences for workers by 2024. Along with the digital transformation of back-end support systems, the client experience for contact center workers will also undergo an evolution away from heavy, PC-based client endpoint technology to lighter, cloud-based device models. This presents an opportunity for devices running ChromeOS to support these emerging trends in contact center transformation.

Q: Be specific, what business challenges can Intelisys Sales Partners reference in conversations with customers that would lead to a follow up about your solution?

A: We love this question. ChromeOS offers contact centers a cloud-first OS for devices, remote management and a productive agent experience that can secure and optimize contact centers. I’d recommend focusing on three specific challenges:

  1. Protect business and customer information: ChromeOS has built-in and proactive security against viruses, ransomware and employee negligence. In fact, there has never been a reported ransomware attack on a ChromeOS device, ever.
  2. Increase agent productivity: Agents can save up to three hours per week in downtime and resolve tickets an average of 33 percent faster.
  3. Deploy and manage stress-free: ChromeOS devices deploy 76 percent faster than Windows 10, and businesses can redeploy them 96 percent faster making dealing with high turnover rates easier.

Q: Armed with these insights, who specifically are the key decision makers that should be targeted? And what’s the ChromeOS value proposition that will pull on their heartstrings?

A: Two targets come to mind.

The first is Contact Center Leadership. ChromeOS is proven to increase agent productivity—it basically gets them to work faster. This results in a better ROI per agent. Nothing will resonate more than that.

The second is IT Leadership. ChromeOS devices cost 27 percent less to purchase and requires 36 percent fewer staff resources to manage. You will be a hero in their eyes since this frees up budget and personnel for other IT projects.

Q: Let’s go a level deeper with the targeting. What industry or vertical represents the hottest opportunity for a sale today?

A: Without a doubt, healthcare and financial services. Synchrony, Charles Schwab, Hackensack Meridian Health and MedXM—protecting customer and patient data is paramount for these ChromeOS customers. With our solution they are minimizing the risk of cyberattacks and data breaches.

Q: This is great. Thanks for taking the time, Jimmy. What’s the best route for our sales partners to engage with you on an opportunity?

A: Register it with your Intelisys BDM. They will connect you with the appropriate sales and engineering resources to win the deal. Check out our MyIntelisys page for more resources and information.
