Nord Security: Empowering Businesses with User-First Cybersecurity Suite

In this exclusive interview, we speak with Gerald Kasulis, vice president of business and channel operations North America at Nord Security, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions. With a mission to shape a more trusted and peaceful online future, Nord Security is dedicated to creating powerful, user-friendly products that help businesses protect themselves against cyber threats.

Are you looking to understand the company’s mission, market demand, the superpowers that make them unique, and the critical customers they are focused on? You came to the right spot.

Q: What is your company’s mission?

A: Our mission is to shape a more trusted and peaceful online future for people and companies everywhere by creating powerful, user-friendly cybersecurity products.

Q: What is the best market stat(s) demonstrating your product’s demand?

A: Our solutions help businesses manage network and resource access, safeguard access to business accounts, identify and prevent data breaches, and achieve compliance. These are a few of my favorite market stats that show demand for these use cases:

Q: What does your company do best? What is your superpower?

A: We help companies modernize business security with products developed by the standard of NordVPN, the world’s fastest and most renowned virtual private network solution. Cybersecurity is in our DNA. As one of the world’s leading cybersecurity solutions providers, we are trusted by more than 10,000 businesses. We help businesses boost their cyber resilience with top-of-line, easy-to-use, easy-to-implement password management, remote access security, and cloud encryption solutions.

Q: What business challenges does your company solve for users?

A: We empower businesses to modernize their security by securely enabling a hybrid work model. Our solutions are tailored to facilitate both in-office and remote operations, bridging gaps while maintaining stringent security standards. We also help companies adhere to compliance standards by providing tools and guidelines designed to align with industry regulations, thereby easing the compliance journey. Our systems aim to prevent breaches, employing cutting-edge cybersecurity measures to thwart potential threats. Finally, we prepare businesses for cyber insurance by enhancing their security posture, providing essential documentation, and guiding them through the insurance application process, instilling confidence in their cybersecurity practices.

Our strategy revolves around creating a cybersecurity suite by combining products that businesses already appreciate and trust. It includes NordLayer, a stress-free network access management tool, paired with NordPass, a secure business password manager. The suite is rounded out by NordLocker, an end-to-end encrypted cloud solution. Together, these elements provide a harmonized approach to cybersecurity, balancing convenience and protection.

Q: Who is your ideal customer? What type of business or organization would make a good fit?

A: We cater to a broad range of clients across various industries, regardless of size. We see a sweet spot within the SMB segment comprising up to 500 users. These businesses often grapple with security challenges from digitalization, hybrid work models, and compliance requirements. In addition, fast-scaling companies and those with globally distributed teams greatly benefit from our comprehensive security solutions, allowing them to expand their digital footprint securely.

Q: Who is the best “persona” to target at these companies, the key decision maker, why do your solutions appeal to them?

A: IT and security managers are the best personas to target since they usually shortlist cybersecurity solutions. Data, compliance, legal, risk, and privacy managers can also be involved in procurement. Even a CEO might be a part of the decision-making process in smaller organizations.

Our topline value proposition for these personas is solutions that have been created for security and designed for productivity. Security is a must for the admins and IT teams, and there’s a common misconception in the market that boosting security means limiting business productivity. Tensions arise between the business’s need to digitize and the cybersecurity team’s responsibility to protect the organization. We combine tools that adhere to the highest security standards while being easy to adopt and use. This way, clients can check all the boxes for IT teams while providing ease of use for employees and peace of mind for business leaders.

Q: What industry/vertical represents the hottest opportunity for a sale at the moment and why?

A: While no company is immune, industries and verticals that hold large amounts of sensitive data are prime targets for cyberattacks. This includes IT services, software development and consulting, financial services and business consulting, marketing and advertising, healthcare, retail, and education. Also, startup organizations frequently create security gaps because they are working at such a fast pace and primarily focus on product development instead of cybersecurity.

Q: What’s the best way for our sales partners to engage with you through Intelisys? Is there anything unique on your MyIntelisys page, or do you have assets?

A: Yes, please check out our MyIntelisys page. If you want to engage with us more, check out our Deal Registration Portal or Agents Portal link here.
