Cook, Senior Vice President, West Region, as one of *100 People You Don’t Know But Should* in the IT channel for 2016.**
The CRN editorial team, assessing feedback from solution providers and other industry executives, compiles this annual list to celebrate under-the-radar channel management team members from the industry’s top vendors and distributors. Those selected have worked tirelessly to create, promote and manage programs and policies that support and advance the IT channel.

J.R. Cook was [recently named Senior Vice President, West Region](https://0cdd42d8b8.nxcli.net/intelisys-names-j-r-cook-svp-west-region/), for Intelisys. Cook has formerly served as Channel Chief for EarthLink Business and New Edge Networks, and held the role of Vice President for TelePacific Communications, prior to joining Intelisys. In 2014, Cook signed on with Intelisys as Senior Vice President, Business Development, bringing a wealth of experience leading both regional and national programs, as well as a deep understanding of strategic channel enablement, to his role with the company. His many successes in this role led to him being tapped by Intelisys President Jay Bradley to lead the West Region in his current role.

“J.R. Cook has an exceptional reputation among those who know him in the channel, and there isn’t a more well deserving person to be named to CRN’s 2016 list of *100 People You Don’t Know But Should* list,” said Jay Bradley, Intelisys President. “As the driving force behind several successful major Intelisys initiatives, J.R. is known as an enthusiastic leader and is deeply appreciated by those who work closely with him. We are very pleased that J.R.’s dedication to leading our Sales Partners to new levels of achievement and success has been recognized.”

Cook has delivered exceptional results for Intelisys on several key projects and programs, including the company’s international expansion. In his new role as Senior Vice President, West Region, J.R. Cook currently leads the strategic business development functions for the company, providing an exceptional standard of support, and demonstrating an inherent commitment to enabling Sales Partners in the West Region to capitalize on real convergence between the IT and telecom channels.

“There are a number of people who work behind the scenes in the channel whose efforts do not often receive widespread attention, although they truly help to hold up the entire industry and make it the thriving, smoothly functioning ecosystem that it is,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. “We are pleased to shine a spotlight on these individuals with CRN’s 2016 list of *100 People You Don’t Know But Should* list and to honor their important work, which quietly underpins the infrastructure of the IT channel and allows the community to advance as a whole.”

“It’s an honor to be recognized by CRN, and a real motivator to me as I strive to exceed the expectations of my colleagues, our Supplier Partners, and, most importantly, the Intelisys Sales Partner community,” said Cook.

The 2016 list of *100 People You Don’t Know But Should* will be featured in the October issue of CRN and can be viewed online at [www.crn.com/100people](http://www.crn.com/100people).
