We are back with [Jamal Purvis](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamalpurvis/) of the Intelisys Solutions Engineering team! If you missed the November SE [Webinar](https://bit.ly/112022SEWebinarOnDemand), Jamal and [Bob Faber](https://www.linkedin.com/in/bob-faber-048ab8/)discussed some [IoT](https://bit.ly/IUIoTCourse) solutions quickly becoming potential options for customers looking to solve critical challenges.

In this blog, Jamal shares the solutions that will continue to grow in 2023. He already recapped 2022 in an earlier article [here](https://bit.ly/JPurvis2022Insights). Let’s look ahead to what is coming next.

- Wi-Fi 6 and 6E to Impact Manufacturing, Education, and Healthcare***

By incorporating Wi-Fi 6 and 6E, manufacturing, education, and healthcare organizations can improve their wireless network and handle hundreds of IoT and wireless devices. Retail, on the other hand, doesn’t need Wi-Fi 6 since those companies typically use a guest network, and demo devices only use them for general updates and testing.

Schools are primed to update and improve their networks as students and faculty use more mobile devices and laptops. The education sector usually gets the most competitive prices during the E-rate season. There are apparent benefits to healthcare and manufacturing adopting the latest wireless networks as hospitals and manufacturing facilities handle hundreds of devices in a single location.

- ***CBRS and Private LTE to Continue to Grow***

CBRS and Private LTE are two other wireless technologies growing in popularity. Both offer better connectivity in large indoor or outdoor spaces such as stadiums, plants, big warehouses, and outdoor perimeters. There have been increasing requests this year for businesses to cover large areas outside their building for inventory control, surveillance monitoring, and employee management.

- ***New Potential in Device Management***

Most devices are managed by themselves, but Microsoft recently announced that Windows 10 and 11 would have a [fully managed platform](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/managed-desktop/overview/win11-overview). This will be a game changer for those who subscribe to M365 and have an internal development team to implement it. It’s a massive opportunity since they can integrate existing devices into their platform using APIs.

- ***Matter Connectivity to Take Center Stage ***

It’s easier than people realize to bridge consumer devices with more robust enterprise-level systems using [Matter](https://www.theverge.com/23390726/matter-smart-home-faq-questions-answers) connectivity, a universal connectivity standard for smart home devices and IoT. As a result, apps that monitor things around the office will be visible in Google Home, Apple Home Kit, and Alexa. It will encourage small business owners to adopt smart lighting and other devices that can improve their bottom line. The next generation of sensors and devices that monitor an environment wherever the user is will also rely heavily on Matter.**

- *AI/Machine Learning Will Get Smarter***

In 2023 and beyond, AI / Machine Learning has the potential to change how we do everything. The ability to make the devices more intelligent and learn based on criteria we set is a game changer. Everyone is talking about ChatGPT, so much so to the point where I have yet to use it! This website has risen so much in popularity that its servers are overloaded. For those who don’t know, ChatGPT’s AI produces content based on the criteria you specify.

Check out how Ryan Reynolds made a [commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eHjifELI-k) entirely with ChatGPT.

Imagine a world where you wake up on a snowy January day and say, “Hey, Siri. Set my day for the weather outside.” Then over the next two-to-four seconds, your car starts and warms the temperature to 75 degrees, along with your home and office. The coffee begins to brew, and the oven is preheating. As you leave home, the heating is reduced, and the lights, TV, and nonessentials are turned off. Your daily calendar shows up on your TV, phone, and Laptop, preparing you for every call scheduled. You can then book a meeting room and set the expected meeting content based on the agenda of each meeting. You are sent an update for events the night before that happened on site for things like door entry, Office WiFi access, and production issues at the plant. This is only the beginning of what is to come!

Still trying to figure out where to start? Set up a meeting with your BDM to discuss opportunities for your customers in 2023.
